Photo montage of the Taj Mahal

Photographs cannot do the Taj Mahal justice but I still have to include some. It must be the most photographed monument in the world and it deserves that accolade. What follows are just some of the photographs that I and the rest of our group took. Seldom have cameras worked so hard.

MAC, Claire and Darshana on 'Diana's Bench'

Shoe coverings required for entry into the Taj

The amazing inlay work involving gems and semi-precious stones

In the distance, Agra Fort. Shah Jahan was deposed by his son Aurangzeb and put under house arrest at nearby Agra Fort. Upon Shah Jahan's death, Aurangzeb buried him in the mausoleum next to his wife

At almost every minute of the day, the colors of the Taj Mahal change and at sunset, it takes on a roseate hue.
